Helldivers 2 is in the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium Game Catalog today, August 12, worldwide. PlayStation’s catalog post is the source. I opened it. The rest of the month is staggered on purpose, not because someone forgot to hit publish. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and Vampire Survivors follow Tuesday, August 18, along with everything that is not called out with its own date. In the US, Hell is Us, Umamusume Pretty Derby – Party Dash, Two Point Museum, Metro Exodus, and Dying Light 2 wait until August 25. The UK and Japan get that same August 25 hold. PlayStation’s post says so in plain language.

That is the useful part of an Extra month: not the poster, the calendar. Helldivers 2 is the one you can download this afternoon. Henry of Skalitz and a gothic bullet hell wait six days. A melee mystery, a museum tycoon, a Metro trip, and another dying city wait almost two weeks if you live in the US. Plan storage like an adult.

Helldivers 2 Today, With a New Front

Arrowhead’s co-op shooter lands in Extra the same day as a large update. PlayStation’s catalog post points at a separate launch note. Helldivers 2 Extra and Premium members can jump in now. Friendly fire is still on. Managed Democracy is still the joke that stopped being a joke around hour three. Sony Interactive’s own August 12 note puts the live player count above 22.9 million across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC as of August 9. I am not inventing a Plus sticker. The catalog post does not print what Extra costs. I am not printing one either.

The companion post from Arrowhead’s community manager is the Devoid of Liberty brief. New Void reconnaissance, Illuminate spires and gateways, mutated threats, SEAF platoons dropping in to stim and hug you, and a rank cap that now goes to 300. There is also a community goal: wipe 500 million enemies by August 18 for four Helldiver PlayStation avatars. That is a lot of bugs to schedule around a catalog drop. The Helldivers 2 Super Merch store is called out as region-limited. I am not pretending it is in every country.

August 18 and the August 25 Hold

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is PS5 only on this list, Warhorse’s 15th-century Bohemia sequel with Henry still trying to be more than a blacksmith in a civil war. Vampire Survivors is PS5 and PS4, the indie that turns you into the bullet hell. Those two are Tuesday, August 18 unless your store says otherwise on the day. Premium also picks up two classics that day by the same default: Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams, originally PS2, and Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire from the original PlayStation, with up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and video filters.

August 25 in the US is the longer queue. Hell is Us is PS5, third-person melee through a country full of chimaeras. Two Point Museum is PS5, expeditions and exhibits. Metro Exodus is PS5 and PS4. Dying Light 2 is PS5 and PS4. Umamusume Pretty Derby – Party Dash is PS4, a school festival of hurdles, basketball, dodgeball, and eating. PlayStation is explicit those five are August 25 in the US, the UK, and Japan. Elsewhere they can show up with the August 18 wave. Check PlayStation Store on the day. The catalog post says lineups may differ by region. Believe it.

What to Download First

If you have Extra or Premium, Helldivers 2 is the one that is actually in the library today. Read PlayStation’s August catalog post and the Helldivers 2 Extra note. Watch @PlayStation if you want the store tile, not a recap. I did not embed a trailer because the catalog post did not carry an official PlayStation US YouTube ID I could confirm from that channel. Helldivers 2 first. Bohemia on the 18th. The rest of the US queue on the 25th.
