Playground Games put the first press and creator combat demo of Fable on the floor at gamescom. The quest is called Mud and Death. The Hero walks in with Humphry, leader of the Heroes’ Guild, and the mine they enter is haunted. Launch is February 23, 2027. Premium Edition early access starts February 18. That date package is on the official Wire and on the store widgets under it.
This is not the public theater page we already filed. That one was the stage. This one is the combat kit Xbox was willing to print after the first closed demo, plus the sticker on the box.
Mud and Death, Strength, Skill, and Will
Official copy brings back Strength, Skill, and Will from the old trilogy. Melee, ranged, and magic are meant to sit in one flow, not three menus you pause to sort. The Hero and Humphry take that mix into a mine that used to be flooded and is now full of things that should have stayed buried. I was not in that room. I am using the names Xbox put on the page.
Xbox printed the spells: Fireball, Lightning, Blades, Lift, Rush, Push, and Befowl. Befowl is the one that tells you Playground still knows which series this is. The named gear is the Bower Hammer, the Deepwood Bow, and the Repeater Crossbow. The named enemies are Hollow Folk, Wraiths, and the Lantern Keeper. That is the official list. I am not inventing a combo they did not name.
February 23, Then Five Days Early
February 23, 2027 is launch. Premium early access is February 18, up to five days early. Platforms on today’s official page: Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, cloud, Game Pass, and Play Anywhere. Standard is $69.99. Premium is $99.99. Both stickers are on the official store widgets. Pre-order either edition and you get the Chicken Suit plus a set of in-game gifts.
Premium adds the Splendid Armour, Bastard Armour, a digital artbook and soundtrack, and the Order of the Hero expansion when that ships after launch. Those are the Premium lines Xbox printed. I am not inventing a physical edition they did not put on that tile.
The Theater Is Still the Public Cut
If you want the live demo in front of a crowd, that is still the August 26 theater with Ralph Fulton. Official social is @Xbox and @PlaygroundGames. Xbox has not posted a new official combat video I can embed without grabbing a recap channel, so the clip stays off this page.
