Konami posted a Bloody Tears Trailer for Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse to its official YouTube channel this morning at 9:17 AM PT (12:17 PM ET), another look at Rose Belmont’s fight with Dracula before the game launches October 15. The Press Start recap called out new story beats, characters, and bosses. The upload itself is a gothic invitation: a red moon, a castle, and Rose standing there as if the whip had been keeping a calendar.
The footage keeps the 1499 Paris pitch intact. Trevor Belmont, the man who already killed Dracula once, takes his daughter into burning streets with the Vampire Killer. Rose gets pulled into the conspiracy under that fire, then has to finish the job. In the new cut, a boss taunts her about tarot cards that steal his powers, which is the Arcana system talking in character instead of in a menu.
Whips, tarot, and a castle that will not stay buried
Belmont’s Curse is a 2D action-exploration game from Konami, Evil Empire, and Motion Twin, set 23 years after Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse. Rose still cracks the whip like a trapeze line, then mixes in weapons across several categories and Relics that change how a fight feels. Bosses such as Death, Medusa, Carmilla, and Joan of Arc are part of that loop: beat them, seal them into tarot, spend their tricks later. The Bloody Tears trailer does not pause for a lecture. It shows Rose being told she is a formidable hunter, then being told goodbye, cursed Belmont, which is about the tone you want from this series when it is behaving.
October 15 is locked for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Steam has the PC page up for pre-purchase at $29.99. Konami’s own site still carries the midnight edition beside the standard one if you want the fancier package without wading through store labels.
