With Nintendo Switch 2 launching tomorrow, one of the most anticipated third-party titles in the launch lineup is Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition. This full-featured version of CD Projekt RED’s acclaimed RPG includes the base game, the Phantom Liberty expansion, and a host of Switch 2-exclusive features—including motion controls using the new Joy-Con 2.
However, the studio has issued an important reminder: you’ll need to download the Day 1 patch to enable motion controls.
According to CD Projekt RED, motion controls will not be available out of the box. Players will need to install the Day 1 patch to unlock this feature. The update adds a new menu option to enable motion control support and provides a tutorial on how to use them effectively in gameplay.
You’ll be able to swing your Joy-Con 2 to slash with a katana, aim your weapons using motion input, and toggle motion control on or off at any time after completing the tutorial.
This information was shared directly by CD Projekt RED, who noted it when providing early access codes to select outlets. The update will be available to download at launch.
