With Indiana Jones and the Great Circle set to debut on PlayStation 5 after launching last December on Xbox Series, PC, and Game Pass, Bethesda Softworks has detailed how the PS5 and PS5 Pro versions will be enhanced. In a post on the official PlayStation Blog, Bethesda confirmed that the action-adventure from MachineGames will leverage the unique features of Sony’s hardware, offering the most immersive version of the game to date.

PS5 Pro Enhancements: Native 4K and Advanced Ray Tracing

While Indiana Jones and the Great Circle runs at a stable 60 FPS across all current-gen platforms, Bethesda notes that the PS5 Pro version delivers higher and more consistent frame rates, along with native 4K resolution.

“Playing at native 4K resolution is the best way to appreciate the level of detail the team at MachineGames has poured into every corner of the world,” said John Jennings, the game’s production director.

The game also supports advanced ray-traced lighting, a feature present in all versions, but further enhanced on PS5 Pro to amplify realism across environments like Marshall College’s artifact-filled halls and the lush jungles of Sukhothai.

DualSense and PS5-Exclusive Features

The PS5 version also takes full advantage of the DualSense controller, integrating:

  • Haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for dynamic navigation, puzzle-solving, and action sequences

  • Unique responses for using tools like Indy’s camera and lighter

  • Touchpad LED effects—which glow yellow during combat and flash when enemies are on alert

  • 3D Audio support, adding spatial awareness to enemy movement and environmental cues

  • HD vibration during cinematics, enhancing emotional impact

Additionally, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle uses PS5’s Activities and Game Help features, letting players jump directly into mission objectives or access community tips and walkthroughs—a feature many developers still overlook.

A Cinematic Action-Adventure Reinvented for PS5

MachineGames’ take on the legendary archaeologist blends cinematic storytelling, puzzle-solving, and globe-trotting exploration. With its PS5 launch just days away, this enhanced version aims to deliver the definitive console experience of one of Bethesda’s most stylish and story-rich titles.

Whether you’re experiencing Indy’s latest journey for the first time or revisiting it on PS5, the upcoming release promises to be the most technically polished version yet.
