Code Vein II’s first expansion has a day. Mask of Idris launches September 9, 2026. Bandai Namco Entertainment America put that on the July 1 post. The expansion is for sale now, and it is already sitting in the Deluxe and Ultimate editions. I opened the official US news page and the game page looking for a dollar amount. Neither printed one. I am not inventing one.
The base game is already out. Bandai America’s launch post put Code Vein II on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam for everyone on January 30, 2026, after Deluxe and Ultimate early access. Bandai Namco Studios built it. An expansion dated for September is how you tell a January action RPG it still has a second job this year.
Mask of Idris is set in the Forsaken World, a place the official post describes as passions from worlds that vanished after history got rewritten, packed into one map. At the center is a colossal spindle that keeps pulling in emotion from other times and spaces, and it is now a problem for the real one. Liv Voda is the new face, called the guardian of time and space, with a combative personality the copy does not try to soften. The teaser above is from Bandai Namco Entertainment America.
This is post-game content. You need the Luna Fraterna ending of the main story, plus the sub-mission Valentin’s request, before the new campaign starts. That is a gate, not a side quest you can wander into from the first lamp. If you bounced before those two boxes were checked, September 9 is not your start date yet.
Deluxe and Ultimate already include Mask of Idris. Everybody else can buy the expansion on its own. Bandai America is also shipping Free Update Version 2.0 the same day, with extra post-game travel alongside partners. More on that update later, which is their phrase, not mine. Official social is @BandaiNamcoUS and @codeveingame.
September 9 is the date on the official US news post. The game page is the edition menu. I will print a dollar the first time that page does. Until then, the news is a dated expansion, a named world, and a character who looks ready to argue with your build.
