Remedy put Dylan Faden on the street at Gamescom Opening Night Live. The Altered State trailer is on Remedy Entertainment’s own YouTube, and it treats him like the problem the Federal Bureau of Control spent years locking in a cell. After years in confinement at the FBC, his old captors are deploying him at the peak of a paranatural crisis in a warped Manhattan. I opened Remedy’s Control Resonant page, plus the official Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam listings. The copy is the same. A mysterious cosmic entity is altering fundamental aspects of reality. Gravity. Perception. The street grid. Dylan is the one they send out.
This is the sequel. Jesse Faden walked into the Oldest House. Dylan has to walk out of it. The Hiss is already in the city. So is the Mold. So is a new form of resonance. He is looking for his sister, FBC Director Jesse Faden, while the Bureau’s lockdown fails in public.
Official Remedy copy, not a theory I cooked: players traverse perception-bending locations and journey beyond the material world into a mysterious metaphysical space reflecting Dylan Faden’s troubled psyche. PlayStation’s US listing adds gravity anomalies that distort the vertical and horizontal plane, which is a polite way of saying the city stops agreeing with itself. Combat leans on the Aberrant, his shapeshifting melee weapon. A two-handed hammer. Dual blades when the fight asks for it. Elemental abilities. The environment as a weapon. He is supposed to keep his humanity while the Bureau treats him like a paranatural superweapon. I am not inventing a Resonant bestiary they have not printed.
Remedy printed the date. Worldwide digital is September 24, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. GeForce NOW is on the Remedy page. Mac via Steam and the App Store follows later in 2026. Xbox Play Anywhere is on the Xbox tile. Steam’s US page prints $59.99 for the standard game and $69.99 for Digital Deluxe. I am not inventing a PlayStation dollar amount the US listing does not show. Pre-order on Steam unlocks the Hiss Corruption Outfit and the Pickpocket’s Tool Artifact. Deluxe adds a digital artbook, soundtrack, Untapped Artifact wallet, starter resource bundle, and the AWE Mission Outfit. Remedy is developing and publishing. Annapurna Pictures is co-financing.
Official social is @ControlRemedy and Remedy. The Altered State video above is theirs. Keep Remedy’s Control Resonant page and the Steam listing open if you want September 24 and the $59.99 in their type. That date is the one that matters if you want to walk that broken Manhattan yourself.
