With just a month to go until its release on May 30, Elden Ring: Nightreign has revealed its official PC system requirements. FromSoftware’s new co-op-focused action RPG, which introduces roguelike elements and short-session gameplay, sticks closely to the hardware demands of the 2022 original—but with a few small updates, particularly to CPU recommendations.
The short answer: not much more. While both the minimum and recommended CPUs have been slightly upgraded, GPU, RAM, and OS requirements remain unchanged. Surprisingly, storage requirements have dropped, with Nightreign requiring just 30 GB, compared to the 60 GB needed for the base Elden Ring.
CPU: Intel Core i5-10600 / AMD Ryzen 5 5500
RAM: 12 GB
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 3GB / AMD Radeon RX 580 4GB
Storage: 30 GB
OS: Windows 10
DirectX: 12 (feature level 12.0)
CPU: Intel Core i5-11500 / AMD Ryzen 5 5600
RAM: 16 GB
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 8GB / AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 8GB
Storage: 30 GB
OS: Windows 10
DirectX: 12 (feature level 12.0)
Elden Ring: Nightreign offers a more compact, co-op-driven experience compared to its open-world predecessor. Featuring a roguelike structure, players choose from eight pre-defined heroes and form 3-player teams to survive across three in-game days in a procedurally generated version of Limgrave.
Each “day” culminates in a minor boss fight, followed by a shrinking map—similar to battle royale mechanics. Sessions are built to last about 30 minutes, ending with a final showdown against a powerful enemy. With short yet intense runs, Nightreign offers a unique take on FromSoftware’s traditional formula.
If you were able to run Elden Ring in 2022, chances are you’re already equipped to handle Nightreign. The bump in CPU specs may require some to double-check their rig, but the lower storage footprint and otherwise similar requirements mean the game remains accessible without a major hardware upgrade.
