Jin Sakai is returning as a playable character in Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted, Sucker Punch revealed during today’s State of Play. The single-player survival mode launches with Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition on October 1, giving Jin all four signature sword stances from Ghost of Tsushima inside a new roguelike structure.
Most Wanted lets players choose between Atsu, Oyuki, Nagato and Jin before accepting bounties that escalate in difficulty. Completing runs earns Mon for permanent upgrades, while perks found along the way shape each attempt. Those rewards extend beyond the mode, with cosmetics also unlocking for use in the main game.
Sucker Punch rebuilt Jin’s model to remain faithful to his earlier appearance while matching Ghost of Yōtei‘s visual standard. His four katana stances preserve the ability to exploit different enemy weaknesses, and he begins each run with a Sticky Bomb and hankyu. Dance of Wrath serves as his Ultimate, striking multiple targets and disarming them.
His Kill Streak is Ghost Stance, terrifying nearby enemies and opening a limited number to one-hit kills. It is a compact version of the toolkit that defined his previous adventure, adapted to a mode where selecting complementary perks matters as much as clean timing with a blade.
Atsu, Oyuki and Nagato each bring their own weapons and strengths, so Jin is not simply a cosmetic guest. Runs culminate in rematches against members of the Yōtei Six, including Lord Saito, and successful combinations can be replayed at higher difficulty. The structure offers a focused reason to experiment with systems that can be overshadowed when crossing the main game’s open landscape.
Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition includes the base game, the Legends multiplayer mode, Most Wanted and the Echoes of Sekigahara story expansion. Existing owners can buy the Complete Edition upgrade for $14.99, while the complete package is priced at $69.99 in the United States.
A free October update for base-game owners is separate from that paid content and adds the Beauty of Yōtei mode, new music for Watanabe Mode, appearance transmog for armor and a high-contrast accessibility option. Most Wanted’s Jin reveal is the genuinely new part today, and it gives the Complete Edition a direct bridge back to the character who started the series.
