IllFonic and PlayStation put a date on Halloween: The Game at State of Play: Tuesday, September 8, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic. The first public gameplay dropped with it, which is the difference between a mood reel and a night that actually moves. Shape Jump is named in that reveal, the movie trick where Myers is gone and then he is the doorway, now treated as a tool instead of a cut.

As Michael you find, stalk, and kill a living Haddonfield before the night ends, while NPCs keep doing household chores until you ruin their evening. Civilians warn neighbors, talk them into calling the police, and scavenge what a suburb actually keeps in the garage. You can knock Myers down, but you cannot kill him, though enough police presence can detain him, which is the loop that still reads like a town instead of an arena with a knife taped to it.

The package is still a standalone single-player story plus asymmetrical multiplayer. IllFonic developed it and publishes it, Gun Interactive co-publishes, and Compass International Pictures and Further Front remain the partners, still on Unreal Engine 5. Official social is @HalloweenTVG, and the embed below is PlayStation’s own upload.
