Future Games Show just showed the single-player for Halloween: The Game, and digital pre-orders opened the same day. I opened the official Games Press note dated June 6, 2026, then the Steam US page. Standard is $39.99. Deluxe is $59.99. Steam prints Advance Access starting September 4. PlayStation’s US Deluxe listing puts that clock at 9:00am PT (12:00pm ET). Launch is still Tuesday, September 8, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic.

This is the first look at the standalone story. You play Michael Myers from the Smith’s Grove escape through Halloween Night 1978. Six chapters. Dr. Sam Loomis narrates. That is the pitch they put on official paper today, and it is the one that finally makes this more than another licensed 1v4.

Six Chapters, Then You Make It Personal

Official Games Press: live out Myers’ escape from Smith’s Grove Sanitarium and the horrors that follow. Cinematic cutscenes introduce chapters and recreate shots. You find out how he got the jumpsuit, the mask, and the kitchen knife, then you work toward the babysitter encounter. The sandbox stays on. Stalk, wait, or rush a kill if the cops are closing. Secondary challenges and collectibles unlock executions, scenarios, lore, and multiplayer cosmetics. Several difficulty options. I am not naming extra skins the June 6 note does not name.

Jared Gerritzen, IllFonic’s chief creative officer, said “Halloween: The Game is one of the most iconic horror films ever made, and we knew that bringing it into a game meant earning the right to put players behind that mask.” They “recreated specific shots, leaned into the original score’s DNA, and worked to make Haddonfield feel like the place fans remember.” Now “it’s up to each player to create their own version of Michael: patient, brutal, methodical, or something else entirely.”

$39.99, $59.99, and a Four-Day Head Start

Deluxe is the game, one exclusive Michael Myers skin, two exclusive Civilians, and more surprises. That is the June 6 list. Steam US matches those two stickers.
