After nearly a decade of development, Lost Soul Aside—the highly anticipated Chinese hack-and-slash action game from Ultizero Games—has been delayed just ahead of its original May 30 release. The game will now launch on August 29, 2025, for PlayStation 5 and PC, giving the developers additional time to polish and refine the final experience.

In a message to fans, Ultizero Games and game director Yang Bing expressed their gratitude and explained the reason for the delay:
“We are truly grateful for the positive response we’ve received from players around the world since we announced Lost Soul Aside. We remain committed to delivering a high-quality gaming experience. To live up to the standards we’ve set for ourselves at Ultizero Games, we’re taking a little more time to polish the game.”

A Decade-Long Journey
Initially developed as a solo project by Yang Bing, Lost Soul Aside quickly drew international attention thanks to its fluid combat and striking visuals. It was later picked up by Sony’s China Hero Project, which helped transform it into a fully-backed production with studio support and publishing resources.
The game blends fast-paced sword combat, stylish traversal, and transforming weapons, including a unique companion demon weapon that serves as a blade, projectile launcher, glider, and even a snowboard during specific action sequences.
