METAL GEAR SOLID: MASTER COLLECTION Vol. 2 is out today, August 27, 2026. I opened Steam this morning. $49.99 USD. Windows. KONAMI. ESRB M. The official platform list is Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. MGS4 has not had a port since 2008. That is the sentence the collection is selling, and it is the one I checked against Konami’s own page.
The Konami US topic listed a YouTube ID that oembed now returns 404. The announcement trailer below is from Konami’s own channel, which is the publisher on the box. PlayStation’s official upload of the same cut is live too. I am using Konami.
What Steam Actually Bundles
Vol. 2 is Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (HD Collection version). Bonus: Metal Gear: Ghost Babel. Also in the folder: the MGS4 Database, screenplay books and master books for both headliners, and Metal Gear Solid: Digital Soundtrack Vol. 2. That is the Steam list, not a gift basket I padded. MGS4 and Peace Walker are also sold standalone if you only want one Snake.
Peace Walker online goes up to 6. No crossplay. Konami printed that note, and Steam repeats the six-player line. I am not inventing a frame rate or a resolution they did not put on those pages. If you want the PC floor, Steam’s minimum is Windows 11, an i5-9600K, 16 GB, a GTX 1650, and 34 GB, SSD recommended. Short, and optional, and that is all I am printing.
Vol. 1 Save Bonus, Not a Pre-Order Promise
If you have Vol. 1 save data on the same account, Steam still lists Gold Camouflage for MGS4 and Uniform GOLD for Peace Walker. That bonus is a save check, not a clock. The cardboard camo and Love Cardboard uniforms were pre-order items on Konami’s announce page. Launch is today. I am not promising those two on a buy you make this morning.
Old Snake, Then Big Boss
Vol. 1 already did the early Snake years. This one is the late Solid Snake job and the Big Boss Costa Rica years, plus Ghost Babel as the handheld extra. Kept you waiting, huh, is still the line Konami used on the topic page, and it is still the correct one for a 2008 exclusive that needed a modern store tile. Official social is @Konami.
