Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s Open Beta is live as of Friday, August 28, 2026 at 10:00am PT (1:00pm ET). It runs through Tuesday, September 1 at 10:00am PT. Infinity Ward is running it. Activision published the windows. No pre-order. No beta code. I am not rewriting the Early Access weekend. This is the open door for everyone who waited on the free weekend.
Platforms on the official beta page are Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, PlayStation 5, Steam, Battle.net, and Nintendo Switch 2. Preload started earlier in the week. If you already installed for Weekend One, you keep climbing. If you are new, download the Modern Warfare 4 Beta tile and press start when the clock hits. Call of Duty’s own first look is the embed below.
The new piece for this weekend is Call of Duty: Warzone Resurgence on Zodiac. Official copy puts the map on the DRC Advanced Systems drone assembly headquarters. Expect offices, manufacturing floors, rooftops, tunnels, and shoreline. Stay alive while teammates redeploy. Contracts shorten that return timer. Outlast the other squads. That is the Resurgence loop in Activision’s own words, not a guess from a private build.
Open Beta Multiplayer still carries core 6v6, Ground War: Combat Outpost, and Kill Block. For the first time in a Call of Duty beta there is a full Campaign mission, Entrenched, built around a large-scale assault on a nuclear power station. Progression climbs through the weekend with cosmetic rewards that carry into the full game when you unlock them here. I am not inventing player counts. The beta page does not print a concurrent number, so neither will I.
The full game is dated Friday, October 23, 2026 on those same platforms. Official social is @CallofDuty and @InfinityWard. Start at the Modern Warfare 4 beta hub and the Weekend Two intel post. Zodiac is open. The rest is your loadout.
