2K spent August 18 walking through NBA 2K27, then moved Early Access up. Deluxe and Ultra owners can play at 9:00am PT (12:00pm ET) on August 26, up to nine days before the worldwide launch on September 4. Standard is $69.99. Deluxe is $99.99. Ultra is $149.99.
Visual Concepts is on the game. 2K is on the box. The three covers are Victor Wembanyama on Standard, Caitlin Clark on Deluxe, and Derrick Rose on Ultra. Steam lists a September 3 unlock. 2K’s own date is still Friday, September 4, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
A Co-ed City, and a Friend in MyCareer
The City is co-ed this year. Female MyPlayers use the same height, badge, attribute, and wingspan rules as everyone else. They are a City-only path. REC, Theater, Street Kings, Park, Proving Grounds, Ante-Up, Starting Five, plus the new Crew HQ and Casual Corner all sit on that same floor. REC now rolls between five rooms at launch: high school gym, outdoor court, private gym, crowded arena, and a season-themed venue.
MyCareer finally lets a second player in. Your Running Mate is Trace Miller, a G League teammate you build from one of nine templates. The friend drives Trace. You both keep your own VC and Season XP. MyCareer also picked up five historical eras: Magic vs. Bird, Jordan, Kobe, LeBron, and Steph. MyNBA Legacy is the new single-player, player-locked mode if you would rather write a hundred-year dynasty than another City grind.
$69.99, $99.99, $149.99, Then August 26
The Builder now spends Badge Tokens on 53 badges, 19 of them new, with a Fuse and Reaction synergy that can push a badge a tier, including up to Legend. That is the systems dump from the showcase. The money decision is simpler. Standard is $69.99 and waits until September 4. Deluxe at $99.99 and Ultra at $149.99 get August 26 at 9:00am PT. Steam already prints those three stickers and the August 26 Advance Access line.
