PlayStation is in Toronto this weekend for FAN EXPO Canada, putting Marvel’s Wolverine on the floor three weeks before the September 15 launch. The show runs August 27 through 30, with the PlayStation booth at LVL 600. If you already have a badge, that is the floor destination, and the activation is built to be used rather than photographed from the aisle.
The Wolverine experiences at the booth are a photo op, an interactive claw-screen challenge, and a Prequel Comic by Narrative Director Walt Williams, while supplies last. That last clause is doing honest work, because comics on a show floor have a habit of turning into souvenirs before Saturday lunch. PlayStation is not pretending the stack is infinite.
Downtown, at Yonge Street and Richmond Street West, PlayStation has a large-scale window activation with costumes, statues, and another photo op. It is a short walk from the convention, which is the polite way of saying you can hit the glass and the booth in the same afternoon without negotiating a streetcar. No badge required at the window, just a corner that used to sell something quieter.
Marvel’s Wolverine still launches September 15, and the official PlayStation game page is the US storefront for wishlists and pre-orders. Official social is @PlayStation. If you are already in Toronto this weekend, LVL 600 is the appointment; if you are not, the Features Trailer above is the version that does not require a lanyard.
