Fuse Games put Star Wars: Galactic Racer on a gold master. That is the official line on the studio page dated August 19. The game is finished, certified, and pointed at a worldwide launch on October 6, 2026. Pre-orders are open now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
This is the first game out of Fuse, the Guildford studio Matt Webster stood up in 2023 with a room full of Burnout and Need for Speed people. It is also the first real Star Wars racer in a long time, and the Standard sticker is $59.99. That combination is why a gold disc still matters in 2026. The last time a Star Wars racer felt like an event, podracers were the entire pitch and your thumbs were already sore.
Gold Means Manufacture, Then October 6
Webster’s own note on the gold post is the old definition: a gold master is the disc you send to press physical copies. Fuse is celebrating because the QA and first-party certification grind is done. Secret Mode is publishing. Lucasfilm Games is the collaboration partner. You play as Shade in the Galactic League, an unsanctioned circuit in the Outer Rim. It is a runs-based racer. Three repulsorcraft styles sit in the garage: landspeeders, speeder bikes, and skim speeders. Podracing is in there too, because leaving pods out of a Star Wars racer would be the one unforgivable cut. Campaign plus online multiplayer, 1 to 12 players. Pre-order and you get a bonus livery plus a player banner. The livery color changes with the store you buy from, which is a small, slightly petty way to show your platform in the paddock.

Secret Mode’s April 30 release is still the price sheet. Standard is $59.99. Deluxe is $79.99 and adds three Kor Sarun vehicles, the Darc X landspeeder, Ciza T speeder bike, and Rak S skim speeder, plus three Arcade events, a livery pack, a player banner pack, and a digital art book. Collector’s is $159.99 physical on PS5, Xbox, and PC: a Darc X model, a Kestar Bool banner, two pilot patches, a printed art book, a steel case with a slip cover, plus the Deluxe digital extras. Physical Standard and Deluxe sit on PS5 and Xbox only. No Switch tile. I am not inventing one.
