Take-Two went to U.S. federal court after CyberLeek kept dumping more Grand Theft Auto 6 clips past that first Tuesday drop. The filing asks Microsoft and Discord for records that could identify accounts sharing the footage. Rockstar still has not posted a word about the leaks. The official show did not move an inch.
Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look still premieres on Netflix on Thursday, August 27 at 12:00pm PT (3:00pm ET). Six hours later it is free on official Rockstar YouTube and the official GTA 6 site at 6:00pm PT (9:00pm ET). That is the same clock Rockstar put on its own Extended Look video. I opened the page again. Nothing slipped.
The first wave was Tuesday. Then more clips kept landing. I am not describing them, and I am not linking the dump. If you want to stay clean until Thursday, that is the whole move: close the tab and wait for Rockstar’s own cut.
Take-Two’s ask is narrower than a press conference. It wants identifying records from Microsoft and Discord, the kind of paper that names accounts, not a public recap of what leaked. Rockstar’s official social is still just @RockstarGames, and that account is still selling Thursday, not litigating in public. The studio’s answer so far is silence plus the show that was already dated.
That is the interesting part. The footage is unfinished, uncredited, and already old the second it hits a timeline, which is why a federal filing is a more useful signal than another 40-second export with the HUD burned in. Thursday is still the first time Rockstar is putting its own footage on a clock it controls.
Launch is still November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Standard is $79.99. There is no PC date. None of that changed because more clips hit the internet, and none of it changed because a federal court now has a filing with Microsoft and Discord on it.
If you want the version Rockstar meant you to see, Thursday is still Thursday. Netflix at 12:00pm PT. YouTube and the official site at 6:00pm PT. Official social is @RockstarGames. Everything else circulating this week is someone else’s export.
