Call Of Duty: Ghosts Review

While First Person shooters in recent years reaches the end of a generation and the beginning next one with a somewhat loose campaign thats without any major innovations, yet multiplayer remains as addictive as ever.

Infinity Ward, the creators of the series, whose greatest talents are now developing the expected Titanfall in Respawn Entertainment, note that the weight of the franchise now rests on the shoulders of Treyarch, now their top executives are the only ones capable of providing and attempting to introduce new ideas, as we saw last year with Black Ops II. A game that I could like more or less, but more ambitious in every way than the Ghosts.

Plot decisions that could lead to different endings, a very charismatic villain, even we came to check on a crazy mission, an elaborate and complex history, a secondary and optional horde type missions and strategic touches to choose the equipment before each mission to meet various challenges in each, scores online, “access”, in which we found special weapons and curious, all this could be found in the campaign of Black Ops II, and none of it, nothing new, Ghosts have the campaign, it is like going back two or three years back in time.

A player campaign of about 6 or 7 hours to barely manages to be entertaining and interesting, and that is more dispensable than ever , dragging the same defects as ever, it also had Black Ops II, but without no virtue or novelty, he did have the game of Treyarch. You know, you progress through a series of linear stages, shoot a lack enemy artificial intelligence, crouch for life to regenerate, clean the area, and keep going as we are shown some events that are supposed to leave us with the mouth open for its spectacular, but saturation and repetition over the years, we doubt that at this stage surprise anyone.

We have fought in every country in the world, we have seen being destroyed emblematic places like the Eiffel Tower, we have fought for land, sea and air, what is left? “For combat in space,” they should think of Infinity Ward, in a visual mission and conceptually very cool, and another that takes place in a city while being ravaged by water from a dam destroyed, but really as playable are As flat as the rest of the campaign. In this climbing more difficult, at this point, they should try to surprise and not as playable as visual , especially if we consider that the graphics engine, or the present or the new generation, impressed in the least.

We do not want to talk much of the campaign, and we should give the same importance as its leaders have given in the product, which is small, but annoying that you were taken a step back from the strenuous experience at least, a player last year. And unlike his great rival, he began as a multiplayer that in his last editions has added a campaign, Call of Duty owes part of its fame and success to excellent experience for a player in his first deliveries , a section of the game that has been stagnating and neglected over the years, and has probably bottomed out here . It may not be much worse than the campaign of Modern Warfare 3, and maybe even a little better, but two years later, this proposal playable feel much older and tedious. Luckily the game has other virtues.

Good

  • Nice additions to Multiplayer that breathes new air to the franchise
  • Team focus modes are well designed
  • Extiction mode is well made

Bad

  • Some maps are a bit complex
  • Graphics could be improved more on next-gen consoles

Great

As far as I can remember, I've been surrounded by technology. My father bought us a Commodore 64 so I started playing games as a baby, following my passion with Amiga 500, then PC and so on. I love game related collectibles, and when I'm not collecting I review games, watch movies and TV Shows or you may catch me keeping a low profile at Game Events.
