CD PROJEKT RED dated The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered at gamescom Opening Night Live. It launches September 29, 2026. Existing owners on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S get a free upgrade. A native Nintendo Switch 2 version lands the same day, with pre-orders open now. Battle.net gets Remastered that day too, through a new partnership with Blizzard.
That is a lot of free for a game people already finished twice, and it is still only half the night. The studio also posted a first look at Songs of the Past on the official Witcher YouTube. Letten finally has a face instead of a silhouette and a late-summer calendar hold.
The Upgrade List, and Two Expansions You Already Own
CDPR’s own list is not a lighting toggle. Upgraded visuals. Enhanced combat. Improved traversal and movement. New witcher signs effects. Revamped mount handling. Enhanced monster behaviors. A skill tree revamp. Transmogrification. Expanded photo mode. New finishers. I am listing what they listed, not a ray-tracing rumor I cannot find on the press page. Remastered is being co-developed with Yigsoft, a team that already worked on The Witcher 3. All current owners also get Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine at no extra cost, starting today.

Letten in 2027, Still No Dollar Figure
Songs of the Past is a paid expansion for 2027 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Wishlist it on the official page. CD PROJEKT RED is building it with Fool’s Theory. The teaser sends Geralt to Letten, an idyllic land of rural tradition, harvests, and festivals with a dark secret under the soil. He gets new abilities and a chain. Never-before-seen foes. Old friends. I am not inventing a USD sticker they did not print.

September 29 is the remaster. 2027 is still the expansion year. Opening Night Live was Tuesday at 11:00am PT (2:00pm ET). Letten is no longer a key-art argument. It is on the official channel, and the Path has a new dirt road with a festival on top of it.
