Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is out today, August 27, 2026. This is the launch, not another trailer rewrite. Focus Entertainment published it. Asobo Studio built it. PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic. Day-one Xbox Game Pass. Xbox Play Anywhere is on the Xbox tile I opened this morning. Handheld Optimized is on that same tile. Cloud is on Ultimate.
The launch trailer we already ran was Opening Night Live on August 25. The story trailer was August 12. The Game Pass wave already dated the day-one slot. Today’s page is the store button turning on. I am not rewriting those three.
Sophia, 15 Years Before Requiem
Xbox’s US store, Focus’s product page, and Steam all print the same number: 15 years before A Plague Tale: Requiem. You play Sophia, a young plunderer on the run, heading for Minotaur’s Island. Official copy talks melee, parries, a stolen Minoan sphere, light puzzles Daedalus wove into the rock, and a restless thing in the dark that already knows the route. Middle Age Sophia sits next to ancient Minoan cuts. Two heroes, one Macula. I am using their language. I am not inventing a skill tree they did not name.
If you want the last time we sat with this universe as a finished game, the Requiem review is still up. Resonance is the origin story they have been pointing at, not a third Amicia chapter with a new subtitle. Sophia is the one who already knew how to live in that later game. This is the island that is supposed to explain the edge.
$49.99 on Steam, $59.99 on Xbox
Steam US prints $49.99. Xbox US prints $59.99. I opened both this morning. I am not writing a PlayStation dollar amount because I did not get a live US sticker I trust on that storefront today. Heritage Pack is a $3.99 add-on on both tiles I checked. Game Pass Ultimate still has the day-one claim. If you already pay for the pass, the $59.99 line is a receipt you can skip.
