The war drums are beating again—Battlefield 6 launches October 10, but before that, Electronic Arts is stress-testing the battlefield with its second open beta this weekend. The beta will run from Thursday, August 14 at 10:00 AM CEST through Sunday, August 17, across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, EA app).
Unlike the first test, this round adds new maps, new modes, rewards, and more to help EA fine-tune balance and stability before release.
Public & Free: No pre-registration required.
Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC.
How to Join: Download the Battlefield 6 Beta App on your platform (PS5/Xbox/Steam/Epic/EA app). Downloads usually unlock a few hours before servers go live.
Tip: Link your EA account to your platform for smoother access.
The second beta includes returning maps plus one new battleground:
Siege of Cairo – Tight alleys, vertical play, and deadly corner encounters.
Empire State (NEW) – Infantry-only street battles in Brooklyn, with rooftop choke points.
Iberian Offensive – Gibraltar’s claustrophobic alleyways and ambush-prone interiors.
Liberation Peak – Tajikistan’s rugged mountains with cover from air attacks and tactical elevation play.
In addition to the first beta’s lineup, two new modes debut this weekend:
Assault (NEW): Attackers plant and detonate explosives at outposts; defenders must stop them.
TCT: Patrol (NEW): Close-quarters chaos with four teams battling until one hits the kill cap.
Advance & Limited Weapon Advance – Tactical area control with class-based weapon limits.
Conquest – All-out war, capture zones to drain enemy reinforcements.
Domination – Classic control-point battles.
Take the Hill – Hold a single contested zone to rack up points.
👉 Players under rank 15 can also train against AI bots in Advance and Conquest.
Battlefield 6’s beta arms you with a wide loadout across all classes:

200 kills/assists → Bat Company Badge
Capture 15 sectors (Breakthrough or Rush) → Dominion Weapon Pack
The Battlefield 6 week 2 beta offers the last chance for fans to stress-test EA’s ambitious return to large-scale multiplayer warfare before its October 10 launch. With new content, AI training options, and permanent cosmetic rewards, this weekend’s battles will be a taste of the chaos to come.
