Rainbow 6 Siege Review

Rainbow 6 Series is back with a game focused on multiplayer, tactical movements and destruction!

You will find three multiplayer team modes, which are hostage rescue, bomb disposal and protecting of an assigned area. The different modes are quite entertaining and it is very refreshing to use a variation of modes and roles. This will enable you to be more creative and determine which area you are strongest at.

Other than the tutorial you find another major game mode, which is the “Hunt terrorist” and it is available as solo or co-op with four players. The enemy will be controlled by artificial intelligence. In this mode we will try to rescue hostages, kill terrorist and defuse bombs. This mode is especially good when you struggle playing online. This way you will gain experience and the skills to compete in the online environment.

The graphics are decent and will do the job. However, consoles such as the PS4 seem to be able to support better graphics, but I wouldn’t say that it is at a point to damage the games rating. All this being said, we haven’t discovered any major glitches in the game, which is a positive.

When looking at the sound effects, you will find the Ubisoft has done a great job. The atmosphere changes when bullets are flying all around the place and when wall and floors fall apart. We believe that this part could be improved but we would give it a 8/10 since the sounds is well thought through.

Overall the game is quite fun with all the different modes and characters. If you have the chance to play it with a strong group of friends, you will even enjoy the game more. The game, however, seems to be centered around the multiplayer mode and it can get quite intense battling other players. After all, we do recommend you to acquire the game since it has a different type of feeling to it. We love that there is a touch of strategic play to it rather than rushing in. Thank you Ubisoft for this game.

Good

  • Great Visuals and wonderful use of Sounds
  • Destructible environment and interesting maps
  • When played with friends or people with mics very tense and rewarding

Bad

  • Lack of Campaign/Story mode
  • Some minor issues such as getting stuck in map while setting a barricade or connection issue, which probably get fixed with updates, but not a deal breaker

Great

As far as I can remember, I've been surrounded by technology. My father bought us a Commodore 64 so I started playing games as a baby, following my passion with Amiga 500, then PC and so on. I love game related collectibles, and when I'm not collecting I review games, watch movies and TV Shows or you may catch me keeping a low profile at Game Events.
