From Techland, they promise to add new stories, events and locations to keep this long-awaited and promising sequel alive after its release.

On February 4, Dying Light 2 will finally be released on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Switch after a few delays and having created a stir on the networks with its confirmation that it will offer us up to 500 hours of content in case we want to complete it 100% (although if we only want to play the main story, it shouldn’t take us much more than 20 hours).

New content for five years

As if this were not enough, Techland has confirmed that they intend to support it for the next five years with new stories, locations and events that promise to keep the title alive. At the moment, they have not detailed whether these DLCs will be free or paid, although it is expected that there will be both types, as happened with the first installment, with some more significant and more ambitious expansions than others.

This announcement shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise as the developer also supported the first Dying Light for many years with new events, modes, and expansions continuing the story of the base title, so it was only to be expected that the sequel would receive the same treatment.

One of the most promising titles of 2022

Dying Light 2 will offer us an action-adventure in the first person, and an open world with RPG touches that will lead us to survive in a zombie apocalypse. Luckily for us, we will have very high mobility thanks to our parkour skills. We will be able to move at full speed, take advantage of the verticality of the scenarios, and fight effectively. In addition, throughout the story, we will have to make decisions that will significantly impact both the story and the world itself.
