Nate Fox, creative director of the Sucker Punch claims that the title will last tens of hours including side-quests.
Ghost of Tsushima, the next game from Sucker Punch Productions ( inFamous ) exclusively for PS4, will last longer than the previous works of the studio. In an interview with the Brazilian website Voxel, creative director Nate Fox says that players can spend up to 50 hours on the Japanese island of Tsushima if they do side missions and other tasks.
“Can players play, say, 30, 40, 50 hours if they do the options activities? And, obviously, less if you stay on the main path?” Fox asked in the interview. “Is it safe to make these statements? Yes, absolutely. However, I would highly recommend that everyone get off the main path and get lost on Tsushima Island.”
Thus, the Ghost of Tsushima will last twice or more than the previous games in the studio. The first inFamous, according to HowLongtoBeat data, take 30 and a half hours to complete, getting everything done. In the case of inFamous 2, that number drops to 23 hours; already 20 in the case of inFamous: Second Son. The latest title in the study, inFamous: First Light, takes up players who want to finish it 100% nine hours.
Nate himself anticipates that it will be interesting to get lost in the world of Ghost of Tsushima, which will have a “huge” and varied map; in fact, the one seen at the State of Play is just a small portion of the starting area. “Tsushima Island covers the biomes you can find on the island of Japan, from snowy mountains to bamboo forests, from waterfalls to vibrant grasslands,” says the creative at IGN.
Those places will have to be full of “people, objects and stories”: “We want to give enough things to keep it exciting for the player.”
Ghost of Tsushima will hit stores on July 17; it is the latest Sony Worldwide Studios game announced for PS4.
