Sony’s next-generation virtual reality headset already has a release date and can be purchased from day one alone or in a pack with Horizon Call of the Mountain.

Sony has just announced both the release date and the price of PlayStation VR2, its new generation virtual reality helmet that we can use together with PlayStation 5 to immerse ourselves in new experiences and games in VR, and also announced 11 new titles for PSVR2.

PS VR2 release date and price

Finally, as has just been made official through a post on the PlayStation blog, the headset will be available in stores on February 22, 2023, for CAD 749.99, while in the United States, its price will be 549.99 dollars.

In the basic package, which is what we can buy for this price, the PlayStation VR2 helmet itself will be included, as well as the new PS VR2 Sense controllers and stereo headphones. If you want to know all the details of the PlayStation VR2 headset, we will share our hands-on review and in-depth coverage of the unit closer to launch.

The first pack with Horizon Call of the Mountain and a charging station for the controls

The same day that PlayStation VR2 goes on sale, the first games for which there is still no official list will also arrive, but which can begin to be reserved during this same month of November, so that during the next few weeks, we will know the initial catalogue of PSVR2.

In addition, one of the games that have confirmed its premiere at the launch of the helmet is Horizon Call of the Mountain, which in fact, will also “star” in the first special PlayStation VR2 Horizon Call of the Mountain Bundle pack that will also go on sale on February 22 for CAD 819.99.

But that’s not all because, for the launch of the virtual reality headset, the first official accessory will also be ready, a charging base for PS VR2 Sense controllers that will cost CAD 64.99 and be sold separately.

The pre-orders will start on November 15

If any of you are interested in pre-ordering PlayStation VR2, know that the pre-order campaign will start on November 15. The stores authorized by Sony will be in charge of managing these reservations. At the same time, they may be reserved exclusively in the official PlayStation store in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. Orders, in that case, will begin on November 15, although interested buyers can start registering today to speed up the process.
