The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered has been leaked on the PlayStation Store and will go on sale tomorrow for a price of 24.99 euros.
A few hours ago we told you that there were rumours that the remastered campaign of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 could arrive this week, even today, and now it has just been leaked on the German PS Store, the PS4 digital store, dated for tomorrow March 31 and with a price of 24.99 euros, as well as its first images and trailer, which you can see below.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered, as you can read in the description of the tab on the PS Store, has been completely remastered with improved textures, animations, physical rendering, HDR lighting and more, and acquiring it you will unlock a series of extras for the recent Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and it’s battle royale mode, Call of Duty: Warzone, as weapons and skins, based on this beloved 2009 game.
The campaign of one of the most successful of the CoD series
Modern Warfare 2 was initially launched in 2009 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. After the enormous success of the first installment, it even surpassed it in sales, with a very spectacular and even more complete and ambitious multiplayer campaign. Unlike what happened with the first Modern Warfare, which was remastered in 2016, both the campaign and the multiplayer, this time, it seems that only the single-player story mode will come, and the multiplayer will not be remastered. Nor does it appear that there will be an edition in physical format, something that did happen with the remaster of the first Modern Warfare.
Activision begins to fulfill its promise to offer multiple remasters throughout this year, as they had officially said, and as we learned from a leak a few weeks ago, after this will also come remasters of Crash Bandicoot and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater.
By the end of this year, if the rumours are true, a reimagining or reboot of the Call of Duty: Black Ops series is expected, so perhaps they had considered that it was not appropriate to launch this remaster along with the new title, something that did happen. in 2016 when Modern Warfare remastered was one of the extras of some of the special editions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, an installment highly criticized for its setting in space.
