Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Review

Ubisoft popular franchise takes us to an incredible recreation of London back in 1868, and loaded with fair amount of entertaining content.

In the design of missions do not expect any surprises , especially if you have played all the games in the series. It is the same core gameplay. Well, they think that the formula is working so why change it. This will sound familiar, there are types of missions similar to previous installments where we have to follow a character from close range to evesdrop to their conversations.

The throwing knives helps a lot in certain situations.

The throwing knives helps a lot in certain situations.

In order to fix glitches or bugs developer could use a few extra months of development, it is also noted for certain unbalanced mechanics, such as throwing knives , which can be game breaking, because it is possible to progress through game by going to higher grounds and shooting targets in the head. Throughout the game throwing knifes are too powerful makes missions a lot easier, and this is somewhat a game breaking issue. It is unknown if they haven’t realized or just ignored this.

As always, and more in this issue that totally ignores any multiplayer mode , there are many missions and to-do , with plenty of collectibles and types of missions, so do not worry, you have game for many hours . Watchtowers, chests, Helix, a collection of beers, all the activities of gangs, fight clubs, chariot races, investigation of crimes (as in Unity , but better made), and many others.

The watchtowers are like a signature of every Assassin's Creed game, can't imagine one without it.

The watchtowers are like a signature of every Assassin’s Creed game, can’t imagine one without it.

In our opinion, this issue has done him great focus on the single player mode , and it shows much better finish in all aspects, not only technical, but also playable. There are still few bumps in the control and parkour , the combat should be a little better, the mission design could be more surprising, and sometimes the difficulty is slightly lowered, but still a very entertaining game and a working formula. If you’ve played any previous releases and you know what you’ll find in Assassin’s Creed , the largest difference is the setting each year.

A spectacular atmosphere

We have already said at the beginning, the setting of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will amaze you, finally it demonstrates the beauties of its graphics engine. Dramatic lighting, a scenario focused on details, impressive art direction, it seems impossible for us to better recreate London in 1868. Every street of the city, the costumes, the details of the buildings, the differences between neighborhoods, boats and trains, as well recreated that are different times of the day … is simply amazing.

This time the game is locked at 30fps without any trouble , and no graphical issues such as slow loading textures or sudden resolution changes on charaters. You may face graphical downfalls when you take a car and reach high speed, which is when the framerate suffers evidently. But most of the time, game plays perfectly smoothly and steadily.

Good

  • Developers delivers some stunning visuals through the new game engine
  • There a re loads of content which will keep you hooked, espcially if you want a %100 completion

Bad

  • Although not game breaking but the game is still haunted with bugs and glitches

Great

As far as I can remember, I've been surrounded by technology. My father bought us a Commodore 64 so I started playing games as a baby, following my passion with Amiga 500, then PC and so on. I love game related collectibles, and when I'm not collecting I review games, watch movies and TV Shows or you may catch me keeping a low profile at Game Events.
