Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Review

Ubisoft popular franchise takes us to an incredible recreation of London back in 1868, and loaded with fair amount of entertaining content.

There are three types of melee weapons (brass knuckles, blade knife and cane sword), and the player can get better and better equipment , by money, by finding places, getting materials and so on.

Improved equipment is important to advance through story.

Stealth again the core of the gameplay , and it is inherited from Unity , with the possibility of moving into Stealth mode crouching and making less noise, and with a simple cover system that works smoothly. In general character animations and mechanics are a little more polished compared to the previous games from the parkour and stealth to combat. Also the streets are not crowded with characters that move unrealistic, this time they have coded the NPCs better.

Gang war

One of the elements that were supposed largest of its Assassin’s Creed is the ability to create your own band and go making increasingly powerful , while gaining districts of London. These reminded us the good old Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood , but compared to Brotherhood, Syndicate’s forming a band element left half finished, and is not as important as expected.

Everything about the gangs ended up being less interesting than what was originally promissed.

It is true that in the early hours everything about bands is of paramount importance, and are responsible to explain it pretty well and that involve us. In each district there are four activities of conquest , and we have to overcome to gang warfare, allowing us to finally get hold of the zone is activated. Bounty Hunter (extract a Templar alive with the new mechanics of kidnappings), barracks band (cleaning barracks enemies), release of children (infiltrate a factory and free the child workers), and hunting Templars (murder one or more enemies).

These missions for practical purposes do not differ too much from each other, and become repetitive after a few hours, so conquer the streets of London is just getting a little tedious , being much more interesting primary and secondary missions. At least it is not something too mandatory, though at a certain point in the game will require us to have won at least three districts of the city, something that is not very difficult.

Releasing children factory workers is one of the little subtle detail game shows the social inequalities of the era.

As we progress in the game we will improve the band by doing so we will take advantage. We need to recruit thugs to resolve situations by using their brute force instead of going quite? There are also missions where we investigate murders similar like the ones in Unity , allowing different approaches, as the game offers the best of itself. But still in the end everything about the bands was left half finished.

Good

  • Developers delivers some stunning visuals through the new game engine
  • There a re loads of content which will keep you hooked, espcially if you want a %100 completion

Bad

  • Although not game breaking but the game is still haunted with bugs and glitches

Great

As far as I can remember, I've been surrounded by technology. My father bought us a Commodore 64 so I started playing games as a baby, following my passion with Amiga 500, then PC and so on. I love game related collectibles, and when I'm not collecting I review games, watch movies and TV Shows or you may catch me keeping a low profile at Game Events.
