Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Review

Ubisoft popular franchise takes us to an incredible recreation of London back in 1868, and loaded with fair amount of entertaining content.

Let’s talk about what we like, its gameplay, its history, its characters, which is what we are always interested in the Assassin’s Creed, so Syndicate is delivering the expectations from day one , returning to incorporate a new playable of Unity , and adds some new details that enriches the gameplay , like the zip lines, controlling two separate characters or driving horse carts.

Horsecart riding is one of the biggest new addition of the AC Syndicate.

This time setting of the new Assassin’s Creed is taking place in London 1868 during the industrial revolution ,what we most enjoyed in this adventure is walking on the streets of the English city and discover every corner, admiring the extended level of detail. Got to admit that we have fallen exhausted going through the beauty of this Victorian London .

Story of a sister and a brother…

The starting point of this new storyline Assassin’s Creed is quite interesting. We control the Evie along with her brother Jacob Frye , both murderers, although with different motivations. She interested in defeating the Templars, and concerned about getting a Piece of Eden that is hidden in London. Brother is more interested in forming a band of thugs and go slowly conquering the city streets, snatching the rival gang.

In the open world, at any time, we can control either , as in many of the main missions and side activities. But instead, almost all the main story missions are assigned to one of two characters, since as we have explained their motivations are very different, and this is reflected in the missions. Brother is more focused on direct confrontation, on the other hand Evie is all about stealth, this is finally something rather anecdotal as playable, affecting more narrative, as both characters almost have with the same skill tree, and only three or four of them are different and unique to the character his/herself.

The main characters have very different understandings of what it means to be a murderer.

Their interests sometimes conflict and their relationship is affected. The story is simpler and more focused than previous installments , something that benefits player and makes them follow and understand what’s going on, but the story takes about 15 hours to finish and it may be thought that the longer the story is s good thing but it’s not game becoming more repetitive, becoming unnecessarily long.

Good

Bad

  • Although not game breaking but the game is still haunted with bugs and glitches

Great

As far as I can remember, I've been surrounded by technology. My father bought us a Commodore 64 so I started playing games as a baby, following my passion with Amiga 500, then PC and so on. I love game related collectibles, and when I'm not collecting I review games, watch movies and TV Shows or you may catch me keeping a low profile at Game Events.
