Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Review

Treyarch returns with an action game filled with content that once again return to it's origins and an awesome multiplayer.

New Zombies Mode

If you are a Zombies mode fan, you will be fully satisfied with Shadows of EvilSet in the 40s, will give you the feeling like you are in a black and white movie in a cinema. The art deco has reminded us much of BioShock, it puts us in the shoes of four characters: the wizard Nero, Jessica, the femme fatale, the policeman Jack Vincent and boxer Floyd Campbell. Its development is very much like the zombies from the previous Black Ops, with a few new features but keeping all its hallmarks. There are no checkpoints, having to start from scratch every time you get killed, with a rather high difficulty level, forcing you to learn something new every game with many secrets that are waiting to be discovered.

The adventure takes place called the Morg City , and the goal is it to gradually discover the countless hidden secrets, and use the various resources available to you efficiently. The main novelty is the possibility that one player in each round becomes a monster with tentacles for a few seconds, which not only allows us to kill zombies quite rapidly, but also allows us to open secret paths and reach places that are otherwise inaccessible.

201511621824_1There are also a gumball vending machines that give us new powers, enemies are not zombies, and a lot of surprises you better discover it for yourselves, as one of the graces of this game mode is to batch to batch unraveling all what is hidden.

Multiplayer Mode is simply fun

Looking back in the series, there are a few very successful multiplayer modes such as Black Ops II, which is still being played to this day. Black Ops III is definitely at par, which shows Treyarch’s dedication and their expertise in this area.

A system of progression measured to the millimeter engaging the player, game modes for all sorts of tastes, with well-designed maps and a large number of choices of weapons, gadgets. The maneuvering on each map has been implemented well with the parkour style movement.

Last year’s Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare already had these jumps implemented but it seemed too much at times. This time, Treyarch has managed to include these new movements in a more controllable fashion. The game still feels like the previous Black Ops, but with many more possibilities of movements. Double jump, cling to ledges, slide down the floor, run up walls and even dive and shoot from the water, which you will find is a blast.

Good

  • Great Multiplayer is as fun as Black Ops II, with addition of Specialists
  • Zombies mode is now bigger and better
  • Specialist class rewards players with different playstyles

Bad

  • Graphics could have been better, not that it's bad but comparing to last year no visible improvements
  • Campaign mode feels repetitive after certain point and the Cybercore powers could have implemented better.

Great

As far as I can remember, I've been surrounded by technology. My father bought us a Commodore 64 so I started playing games as a baby, following my passion with Amiga 500, then PC and so on. I love game related collectibles, and when I'm not collecting I review games, watch movies and TV Shows or you may catch me keeping a low profile at Game Events.
