Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Review

Treyarch returns with an action game filled with content that once again return to it's origins and an awesome multiplayer.

These movements are included with surprising ease.  Before launching the multiplayer the game encourages you to go through a tutorial called Free Run, which is a time trial that serve you to familiarize yourself with the new movements. We recommend you spend a few minutes going through these tests. Although you won’t be using these moves very often in the multiplayer mode, it does provide you with some fun moments and some cool maneuvering.

A new feature, which is called specialists was included in the game that allows you to pick different type of characters with some sort of super power, which can be used when the gauge is fully loaded. There are nine specialists who have their own look and personality and more importantly, two unique skills, having to choose between one of them before each game. Meanwhile, don’t forget to pick the right equipment and perks before each game. You will have 10 slots available, which you should pick carefully based on the game mode you are playing.

All specialists do not come unlocked from the start, however, as you improve your level you will be able to access them. Make sure to use these special skills carefully since they recharge very slowly.

Ruin hits a ground attack that can wipe out several players at once, or sprinting for a few seconds. Seraph pulls out a huge gun that can kill with oneshot, or activate a multiplier points streaks. Nomad displays a trap when activated that releases capsules of swarms of drones. You also may  revive yourself after death using an injection. Prophet can fire a projectile electric that can jump from enemy to enemy. Also one of the most interesting skills is to teleport yourself back to a few seconds back to get out of situation without an exit. But be careful, you could end up somewhere, where you can face some more trouble.

Outrider uses an arc of explosives which is just great, and can activate a pulse that reveals the position of nearby enemies. Reaper can use a lethal machine gun to deploy decoys. Spectre displays a deadly melee knife and camouflage which makes it invisible. Battery can use a lethal grenade launcher, and a shield that disables enemy bullets. And Firebreak , the last specialist unlock, can use a deadly and spectacular flamethrower, and launch a thermal load that stuns enemies.

These skills provide some salt and pepper to the games, but as we have said are not too critical during battle, since you won’t be able to use them throughout the game unless your gauge loads up.

If you fell in love with the multiplayer of Black Ops II give this a chance, as Treyarch has created something outstanding. Although they have devoted considerable effort to the campaign and its many extras, such as the zombies,  we strongly believe that the multiplayer is extremely well done and that it will be the attention catcher and generate the sales numbers.

Good

  • Great Multiplayer is as fun as Black Ops II, with addition of Specialists
  • Zombies mode is now bigger and better
  • Specialist class rewards players with different playstyles

Bad

  • Graphics could have been better, not that it's bad but comparing to last year no visible improvements
  • Campaign mode feels repetitive after certain point and the Cybercore powers could have implemented better.

Great

As far as I can remember, I've been surrounded by technology. My father bought us a Commodore 64 so I started playing games as a baby, following my passion with Amiga 500, then PC and so on. I love game related collectibles, and when I'm not collecting I review games, watch movies and TV Shows or you may catch me keeping a low profile at Game Events.
