When looking at the gameplay itself, you will be surprised by all the new possibilities that the game offers. You will have quite a few of these scenario reviews since each mission has it’s variety. You will be able to fight on foot or in vehicles. Especially the final stretch of the game will be quite nerve wrecking and basically the highlight of this game.
New skills are well balanced and integrated with the usual mechanics of the series.
The developer did an excellent job on the enemy’s AI, which you will feel more and more by increasing the difficulty level. Especially on Legendary you will be punished with every mistake. If you understand and respect the chain of command, you should be able to succeed. Again, the AI is extremely well done and comparing it to Halo4, you will find it quite refreshing since certain patterns have changed, which is much more challenging and interesting.
The AI is also applicable in case you can’t find any team members to play with. The game will assign characters to your team since the co-op needs four players. Therefore, you will be accompanied by three other Spartans that will assist you during the co-op gameplay. This will not enable you to experience the game as a lone wolf.
The Prometheus are now much smarter than before, so do not underestimate when you go against them.
Unlike the enemy AI, your partners that are assigned to you in the co-op mode die relatively fast due to unreasonable decisions, such as holding back when they should attack. Especially when playing higher difficulties, you might run into some frustrating times. You will spend quite some time trying to revive them, but they will be there if you need to be revived, which is a positive.
