SEGA announces that the hospital management game will finally arrive next year and that they will use that extra time to optimize and improve the game on all consoles.

SEGA has announced the delay in the launch date of Two Point Hospital, the management and humour videogame in health code. The title, scheduled for the end of 2019 on Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch, will finally arrive during the first half of 2020. Its final launch date has not materialized, although it has been confirmed that that extra time will be used to optimize the game on consoles.

Two Point Studios and SEGA apologize for the delay.

“Our community of players has been asking for the launch of Two Two Hospital on consoles for a long time, and that is why we want to make sure we offer a game that can be enjoyed to the fullest on all platforms,” explained the director of games at Two Point Studios Mark Webley “This means that we will need a little more time to optimize the game in order to guarantee the best possible experience on all platforms,” he added in relation to the extra time that will be taken in the development of the game.

“Making a management simulation game on three consoles (and doing its best in all three) is a complicated puzzle in terms of programming,” said Craig Laycock. “We have to disassemble the game and discover how to fit it into what is essentially a smaller box. That takes a lot of time and great engineering work, and it turns out that we need a little more time to iron the remaining folds,” he concluded Making a fun parallel.

“Making a management simulation game on three consoles is a challenge.”

Two Point Hospital is the return to the genre of hospital management, just like the mythical Theme Hospital. Two Point Hospital is developed by former officials of Bulfrog, something that is obvious from the way of presenting the style of play or humour. In this way, the game invites us to run a hospital, adding different types of rooms and themed and specialized stays for patients’ diseases. It will also offer us to change the aesthetic design and qualified personnel of our health center based on the influx or emergencies that arise in the waiting room.

As far as I can remember, I've been surrounded by technology. My father bought us a Commodore 64 so I started playing games as a baby, following my passion with Amiga 500, then PC and so on. I love game related collectibles, and when I'm not collecting I review games, watch movies and TV Shows or you may catch me keeping a low profile at Game Events.
