Fallout 4 Review

Another important change in Fallout 4 is its new progression system, a complete success, offering the player a lot of freedom from the beginning of the adventure for a character to suit you. You have seven major SPECIAL attributes: Strength, perception, endurance, charisma, intelligence, agility and luck, among those who handed out a number of points to start the game, and within each of these categories ten skills or perks , which in turn we can improve on several levels. For example to access the fifth ability of resistance (‘Water’ you will suffer radiation damage when swimming) which requires five points in strength, and so on, with ten levels of skills, and each with several improvements, requiring in turn have reached a certain level of experience.

Great freedom always comes with great responsibility, since you have to be smart when spending your points on skills that you have accumulated while playing for hours. Also to build the best weapons and armor depend on some of these skills, so now we will say that a headache is what to spend on every point, there are always plenty of appealing alternatives.

Another aspect that really improved over Fallout 3 is the playability of the shootings. The basic weapons feel slow, some powerful on purpose, which means that you won’t be able to play it like it was Call of Duty. The appeal system VATS assisted shot back with little news, and allows us to slow down the action and target different body parts of enemies.

The variety of weapons satisfy us fully, we have not taken any less, and the creation and improvement system allows us to do anything: put different types of cylinder heads, guns, scopes, mouths, handles, etc. We can buy or find hidden items on stage, or create them using components if we have the necessary skills. There are many ways to play, and each enemy type requires a strategy. The dismemberment that we discussed before are not only fun, also useful.

Good

  • Huge Open World experience with full of surprises waiting to be revealed
  • Very well designed upgrade and crafting system
  • Attention to detail is impressing

Bad

  • Technically outdated graphic engine
  • There is nothing new or innovative just the same working formula
  • Long load times are frustrating

Great

As far as I can remember, I've been surrounded by technology. My father bought us a Commodore 64 so I started playing games as a baby, following my passion with Amiga 500, then PC and so on. I love game related collectibles, and when I'm not collecting I review games, watch movies and TV Shows or you may catch me keeping a low profile at Game Events.
