Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Review

Ubisoft popular franchise takes us to an incredible recreation of London back in 1868, and loaded with fair amount of entertaining content.

For those who still wonder if the story return present day and flashes back, yes there are scenes in present day , but without spoiling, these time flashes are not too interesting, those moments are interactive, although throughout the game left the door open to future deliveries recovers action in the present, and again become an important part of the franchise.

This train will be our base of operations.

The main characters of the game perfectly recreated both in form and background, with a working class living in a kind of legalized slavery, something that we can relate that things have not changed much since then … In the city of London at this historical period there were very interesting personalities, whom starring in their own series of side missions.

We will meet interesting characters such as Karl Marx, Charles Dickens, Alexander Graham Bell, Charles Darwin , the own Queen Victoria and even a young Arthur Conan Doyle. And none of them has been treated anecdotally, but carry much weight, fixing one of the errors of previous installments, just not quite make good some of his historical characters. If you’ve ever caught your attention Victorian London and you are interested in these characters, and just so sure you will enjoy Assassin’s Creed ,Syndicate as we mentioned earlier it has a unique atmosphere.

How about the gameplay

As usual in each franchise we are facing couple updates and additions , there a refew noticable changes , and affects important elements such as the movement and combat. The most important new element is playable string tip , a hook, like Batman’s , with which we can get hooked to the top of the buildings and climb rapidly.

This tool solves some of the problems of parkour and navigation scenarios, and gives great agility to the gameplay, very dynamically , without having the feeling of breaking game. A concession to the fun that has been embedded well within the game. As much sense the driving horse-drawn carriages , which are handled like a normal car, very simple, and that come in handy to go through the streets of London, since we are facing the most extensive map in whole franchise . They also allow some pretty cool action, as the climb to the roof and jump to another car, or shoot while driving.

Zip lines very helpful to go long in distances in a short time as the map is huge.

The combat delivery has a lot of changes, since the very first game franchise never come up with a good combat system . and they haven’t found the final solution this time either, but at least it works. A button to attack, another to counter another to break the defense and stun, and finally the possibility of a quick shot, either the gun or knife. Without providing a great combat system it works well, and comes to provide very colorful moment, thanks to animations on executions, sometimes quite violent.

Good

  • Developers delivers some stunning visuals through the new game engine
  • There a re loads of content which will keep you hooked, espcially if you want a %100 completion

Bad

  • Although not game breaking but the game is still haunted with bugs and glitches

Great

As far as I can remember, I've been surrounded by technology. My father bought us a Commodore 64 so I started playing games as a baby, following my passion with Amiga 500, then PC and so on. I love game related collectibles, and when I'm not collecting I review games, watch movies and TV Shows or you may catch me keeping a low profile at Game Events.
