The Division Review

Ubisoft offers gamers an action adventure RPG takes place in an open developing world. The Divison is one of the most exciting and attractive game we have played so far in this generation.

Ubisoft once again shows that they are masters at creating detailed open worlds and atmospheres. The sophisticated lighting, day and night cycle, climate change, along with the enormous amount of details of Manhattan, offer visuals for truly amazing moments. Locked at 30fps both on PS4 and Xbox One.

Nevertheless, there are minor issues here and there that may distract you from the experience. Destruction of the environment such as walls that fall apart in stunning detail is great, yet there are indestructible pieces, as simple as a light bulb. Some late textures loading times is annoying, often taking a few seconds to fully load. There are also some draw distance issues, as objects suddenly popping in the foreground.

Sound effects are good, and varied, but the music could be a bit better like this. It is not a bad selection of tunes but nobody will highlight the soundtrack, either for good or for bad.

Final Thoughts

17_copy_1452966142Tom Clancy’s The Division has overcome adversity and has ended up being a huge action game with an open world, and offers many multiplayer roles. Funny, intense, exciting, moments waiting for you whether playing solo or as a team, it is full of good ideas, as the Dark Zone. A game that does many things right, and if you like this genre, The Division will offer a lot of hours content and high-quality entertainment. One of the few titles that pushes the bar and taking it to the next level.

Good

  • Great setting where it takes you to a post-pandemic world
  • Whether you play story or Dark Zone, co-op is easy to access
  • Minimum to none loading times!
  • Perfectly crafted progression system
  • Each time you enter the Dark Zone, you will experience unforgettable moments.

Bad

  • Some minor lag due to always online nature, but overall it's pretty stable

Amazing

As far as I can remember, I've been surrounded by technology. My father bought us a Commodore 64 so I started playing games as a baby, following my passion with Amiga 500, then PC and so on. I love game related collectibles, and when I'm not collecting I review games, watch movies and TV Shows or you may catch me keeping a low profile at Game Events.
