The Division Review

Ubisoft offers gamers an action adventure RPG takes place in an open developing world. The Divison is one of the most exciting and attractive game we have played so far in this generation.

Always Online

The Division requires a permanent internet connection, but you can play the entire game solo, without the need to be subscribed to Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus. unless you want to share the experience with other players. As you can imagine, it’s a lot more fun and a complex game if played with in a group.

You can play it all alone as a lone wolf, but it is clear that teaming up with friends or with strangers, is where The Division uncovers its full potential. The variety of enemies will be greater and how you progress the scenarios using tactical possibilities, is all up to you. Each player can only carry appointed two special abilities at the same time, as different types of turrets, a pulse that reveals the position of the enemies, healing and revival skills, shields and reinforced coverings, etc., and all play an important role on especially in the most complex and difficult fights.

TCTD_screenshot_rikers_011516_7amPT_1455824939When you play with several people all these skills come into play at once and is where you see the complexity and strategic depth of The Division, higher than it may seem at first. Before starting each mission we can make use of matchmaking to play with strangers, and we’ve had really good experiences, people take it seriously, works, revives, plays for the good of the team, and if you ‘re not going to have friends to enjoy cooperative do not worry, because the player search works very well for both the story missions, and to explore the open world.

The Division as an action game in third person view will please anyone, whether you looking for frantic action or uncomplicated approach as who wants to play more strategically, using wisely the resources at their disposal. The Division as an RPG, with lots of statistics, equipment, and weapons, object creation, improve the base to unlock talents and advantages, and the constant quest to have a stronger ever character is also quite deep, and there are ingredients enough to keep you busy for hours setting up the team.

The Division is a game with very good ideas, some are inspired from Destiny. In terms or PvP, it tries to offer something different, and introducing us to Dark Zone, a part of the fairly extensive map where we met other players and we can collaborate or face them. In the streets of Manhattan is the most valuable loot and the toughest enemies, but can also attack other players, becoming rogue agents, and have a price set on your head.

Good

  • Great setting where it takes you to a post-pandemic world
  • Whether you play story or Dark Zone, co-op is easy to access
  • Minimum to none loading times!
  • Perfectly crafted progression system
  • Each time you enter the Dark Zone, you will experience unforgettable moments.

Bad

  • Some minor lag due to always online nature, but overall it's pretty stable
9.5

Amazing

As far as I can remember, I've been surrounded by technology. My father bought us a Commodore 64 so I started playing games as a baby, following my passion with Amiga 500, then PC and so on. I love game related collectibles, and when I'm not collecting I review games, watch movies and TV Shows or you may catch me keeping a low profile at Game Events.
